Thomas Elementary Weekly Update - Week of October 11th, 2026
Good Afternoon, Thomas Students and Families!
This is Katrina Collins-Hernandez, Principal at Thomas Elementary School. Here are this week’s updates for our Thomas Community.
Walk to School Day was so much fun with over 200 students who walked to school! Thank you to all who participated. Looking forward to many more fun events in the coming months!
Parent Teacher Conferences
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Parent Teacher Conferences. The time spent together and information shared is so valuable. Thank you for trusting us with your amazing kiddos!
Fall Festival
Our Annual Fall Festival is on October 29th from 5:00-6:30. Costumes, Games, Photo Booth, and the Cake Walk will all take place with a $5 wristband for all Thomas students and families. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. We are asking for candy and cake walk donations. Please send them to your child’s teacher or the front office. The class with the highest donation amount will win a special class reward!
Operation Warm
Thomas has received a grant through Operation Warm for every Thomas student to receive a winter jacket during an event on October 29th. The donor, Ferrellgas, will have volunteers at the school to set up a jacket shop and shop with every student! Students will be coming home with a brand new jacket of their choosing with their name written on the inside.
Thomas Fall Craft Show
Thomas is hosting our very own Fall Craft Show this weekend, Saturday, October 17th from 9-3. Vendors from all over Flagstaff will be set up selling all sorts of neat Fall crafts and treats!
DoubleGood Popcorn Fundraiser Starts 10/16
Students will come home with an order form for our Double Good Popcorn Fundraiser after the kickoff at the Quarter 1 Assembly. Thomas receives 50% back of all sales. Families can choose to set up their own online pop up store OR fill out the order form sent home to have orders entered by the Thomas PTO. Students will earn a squishy for every 5 items sold and our top sellers will win a choice of prizes including drones, scooters, helmets, microphones, and so much more! All order forms and money will need to be turned in by Friday, October 23rd!
